The Museum presents a journey through the whole intellectual life of Leonardo Da Vinci. Created as a center of technical and scientific studies on the figure of Leonardo. You can find it in two places, the Palazzina Uzielli House and the Castle of the Counts of Guidi.

Visitors will find a variety of collections of scientific, technical, painting and architectural objects  by Leonardo as well  and an extensive exhibition on the art history of Romanticism. A museum that has become a landmark in the tourist guides for having one of the largest collections of Leonardo originals.

The Palazzina Uzielli House hosts several sections on textile technology , a space dedicated to machinery to improve manufacturing textile, a  machinery room showing construction cranes and winches created to facilitate the construction of buildings and finally the clocks room where mechanical elements that compose the inner movement of the clocks are shown.

The largest part of the work of Leonardo, is in the Castle of the Counts of Guidi where we find a large collection of war machines in which Leonardo improved shooting accuracy, firepower and speed. We can also find rooms where you can see flying machines and a large exhibition of mechanisms and instruments used by Leonardo himself as the powered  car and bike.

The hall of architecture and civil engineering, construction is underway but shows a Leonardo as an architect in the court of Francis I of France. In this room you can see modeling studies and machinery to build bridges for military use and urban development.

Two sections are of particular relevance, the optics room where Leonardo undertook a study of geometrical optics to resolve problems related with the contrasts of light and pictorial representation with particular emphasis on the use of glass lens for easy visualization, and the water study where works are represented on the exploitation of hydropower and water diversion and channeling. Finally, the Museum teaches cartographical and geometric bodies along with a variety of sketches painted by the artist and his handwritten notes.

Not only does the museum shows a survey of the work of Leonardo, but offers visitors an extensive library where you can buy his scientific works. It also gives the possibility to celebrate a wedding. Even visitors can plan their trips in advance including a tour of the Leonardo Museum, both school groups and educational for children, such as family or adults only.
