Natural Juices in Florence
Waking up with a nice fruit juice after a night out is like finding an oasis in the middle of a desert. According to specialists, all juices have healing and restorative properties on some parts of the body, so it’s good to know what part of the body you want to take care of and which fruit and vegetable will help you do so.
For now, we’ll just tell you where to find the best fruit juices so that you can enjoy them during your trip to Florence. But first, we’ll tell you that in most bars they serve succo di frutta (fruit juice) and a coffee with a panino (sandwich) in the morning. A succo di frutta normally costs 0.95€, so it’s within everyone’s reach and you can have a few during the day.
To start with, you can go to the Antico Caffè del Moro or Café des Artistas on Via del Moro 4r. This place is a classic in Florence and it’s full of history of local and international bohemians who attended the place to enjoy long chats accompanied by spirits in the 1950s. It was also a place where artists paid for their hefty tabs with their works and today these works decorate the bar. Here they have a good juice list that you can order in whatever size you want with a sandwich during lunch. This place has affordable prices because it’s become a favourite among liberal students.
If you have a sweet tooth, who likes natural things but succumbs to sin, Mangiafoco is the ideal place. Located on Borgo SS Apostoli 26r, it has wonderful natural juices and a list of Tuscan specialities that amuses everybody. The juices here cost 3€, but they combine everything and are very fresh and excellently prepared. You can also eat carpaccio di pesce spada (swordfish carpaccio) or tagliette al ragu (pasta with tomato sauce). The place has the aesthetic of an old bar, which gives it a pleasant atmosphere. It’s open every day from 10am until 10pm every day except on Sundays, so you can have a morning juice and one at night without any problems.
Ristorante Il Vegetariano is a classic place that, since 1981, has been known for its unique fruit juices made with fresh Tuscan fruit and vegetables. Located on Via delle Ruote 3or, it’s a restaurant that specializes in vegetarian and vegan food. Its unique way of seeing food and its relation with human development mean that all of its juices and preparations are made right after you order them. Also, they have combinations of natural products on a bar that help you balance your body and your mind. They’re open for lunch and dinner from Tuesday to Friday, and on weekends and holidays they only open for dinner, with the restaurant being closed on Monday.
Finally, at Biobistrot, you’ll find the best natural fruit drinks that are totally bio. You can order them with organic fruit and also they sell them in a packet but always with real fruit. Biobistrot is on Via Pacina 45-47.
