It has been long said that traveling broadens your horizon, enriches and fulfills your mind. As a young adult most of us dream of visiting the world´s most famous places, wanting to see the Big Apple, go on a wildlife safari in Africa, take a Euro-trip, backpack in Asia or explore the far down under. We go on holidays to relax, visit relatives or go on an adventure. Reality is that most of the people in the world can´t have more than two weeks a year to travel. So these weeks we get to travel are sacred and have to be perfect.

When you have a family things get even more complicated. You have to work with school holidays, comfortable way of traveling for everyone, finding a suitable accommodation and find a destination that will accommodate to everyone´s likings. It can also be challenging to break your daily family life, deregulating everyone´s routines. This can be very discouraging when thinking about traveling, but do not let this keep you from going! • 3. Adapting to people from other regions, countries or cultures

In an other place people can speak an other dialect or language, they have different customs, eat things your children are not familiar with and/or dress different. Your children have the chance to communicate with others that speak another language. This is a great opportunity to learn your children to respect other cultures, adapt to their customs and taste what is served.

• 4. Navigate through different surroundings

As your children get older, you will want them to know how to get around by themselves successfully. By traveling they will experience to do things as check in luggage, board a plane, look or ask for directions, arrange transport, buy tickets. It can be real overwhelming in a strange place in a country that does not speak the same language.

• 5. Enjoy and be inspired together

No matter if you go near or far, a travel will leave your family with a whole collection of inspiration and memories of everything you have seen and experienced. No doubt it has influenced your child in his or hers development. Getting to go on an adventure as a family together is a great gift for the future. You will be able to talk about this for years and years to come, until your next travel.
